Kazia Jankowski’s writing career began with a saucepan. Initially, cooking was her literary inspiration. But after culinary school in San Sebastian, Spain, and months of recipe testing for Cook’s Illustrated magazine, it became the focus of her stories. She peppered 5280 (Denver’s savvy city magazine) with restaurant reviews and articles about ice cream, bitters, and more. She dotted the pages of the travel guide Moon Peru, 2nd Edition, with dining, as well as adventure, suggestions. Eventually, she decided she wanted a hand in shaping the world of food. Today, Kazia works in culinary branding and innovation and continues to write for magazines and her recipe blog, Big World Small Kitchen. So her pen is never far from her pan.
